We are delighted to introduce the newly founded Ashvins Foundation, a public charitable trust established on April 8, 2025.
The Foundation was created by Dr. Agnibho Mondal (Chairman) and Dr. Bhaskar Roy Choudhury (Secretary). It was born out of a shared vision: to make quality healthcare accessible, to foster medical research and education, and to provide timely relief during disasters, so that every community has the chance to live healthier and stronger.
Why We Exist
India faces enormous healthcare challenges: many communities have little access to affordable treatment, tele-medicine remains underused, disaster preparedness is often inadequate, and medical research is underfunded. At the same time, doctors and healthcare professionals need more opportunities for continued training and knowledge-sharing.
Ashvins Foundation was created to address these needs through service, education, research, and collaboration.
Our Mission
The Foundation has identified seven broad objectives that guide its work:
- Health Access: Organizing free or low-cost health camps and expanding tele-medicine services.
- Research & Knowledge: Funding and conducting medical research, and publishing journals and training materials.
- Capacity Building: Offering workshops, courses, and continuing education for medical professionals.
- Disaster Response: Delivering emergency healthcare during floods, earthquakes, and other crises.
- Partnerships: Collaborating with and supporting other charitable organizations working toward similar goals.
- Community Awareness: Publishing reliable information to promote preventive health practices.
- Sustainability: Engaging in activities that strengthen the Foundation’s long-term impact.
Starting Small, Growing Steadily
As a newly founded trust, ASHVINS FOUNDATION will begin its work in one target area, where programs can have an immediate and visible impact. This careful, focused start will help refine models of service and ensure quality.
In the coming years, the Foundation will expand gradually, reaching more districts and eventually extending its coverage across India. Our long-term vision is to build a strong network of healthcare, research, and education that benefits communities nationwide.
Who We Serve
The Foundation serves all members of the public who need medical or educational support, with special focus on those who are indigent or disaster-affected.
This includes:
- Families unable to afford medical consultations.
- Communities struck by floods, earthquakes, or other emergencies.
- Young doctors and healthcare workers seeking continued education and opportunities in research.
Funding & Donations
Our activities are funded by voluntary donations and grants, which form the lifeline of the Foundation. Support may come from individuals who wish to give back to society, from companies committed to corporate social responsibility, from government bodies that aim to strengthen public health, or from other charitable institutions that share similar goals. Contributions can be made in many forms: monetary support, medical equipment, essential medicines, or even unencumbered property that can be used to further our mission. Every contribution, whether large or small, helps us bring free health camps to remote areas, sustain medical research, train doctors and healthcare workers, and deliver emergency relief when disasters strike.
A Call to Action
Ashvins Foundation is more than an institution. It is a collective effort to bring healing, knowledge, and resilience to those who need it most. We invite you to join us:
- As a Donor: Support health camps, research projects, and disaster relief initiatives.
- As a Volunteer: Share your skills, time, or professional expertise.
- As a Partner: Work with us to extend the reach of healthcare, research, and education.
Together, we can build healthier, more resilient communities—starting with one area and steadily reaching many more.
