Challenges We Faced
Despite our intent and planning, the foundation saw limited operational progress in its first year. The primary barrier we encountered was administrative in nature—specifically, the inability to open a functioning bank account.
Due to unprofessional handling and procedural delays from HDFC Bank, we were unable to complete the necessary banking formalities. This significantly impacted our ability to:
- Receive donations
- Fund programs and outreach
- Build operational momentum
- Engage effectively with partners and supporters
While this was an unforeseen obstacle, it underscored an important reality: even mission-driven work depends on reliable institutional support systems.
Steps Toward Resolution
In response to these challenges, we have taken corrective steps to move forward.
The foundation is currently in the process of amending its trust deed to enable the opening of a bank account with an alternative banking institution. This change will allow us to:
