About Us

Ashvins Foundation is a public charitable trust dedicated to shaping healthier and more resilient communities across India. Created on April 8, 2025, by Dr. Agnibho Mondal and Dr. Bhaskar Roy Choudhury, the Foundation is committed to building its programmes in health care, medical research, medical education, and disaster relief.

From its base in Hasnabad, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, the Foundation aims to extend its work to rural villages, urban centres, and disaster-affected regions. Our goal is to ensure that affordable health services, opportunities for medical research, and timely humanitarian aid reach people wherever the need is greatest.

Our vision is forward-looking and ambitious: to make quality health care accessible, to foster innovation through research, to equip professionals with continuous education, and to stand ready to support communities when disaster strikes. Guided by the principle that health is a right and not a privilege, the Foundation will keep designing programmes that bring meaningful, lasting change in the years ahead.

Our Mission

Ashvins Foundation has been created to serve as a catalyst for better health and well-being in India. Our mission is to stand alongside existing health and education systems, adding strength where it is needed and creating opportunities for growth. We look ahead to a future where medical knowledge is widely shared, research thrives, and communities are resilient in the face of both everyday challenges and sudden crises.

At the heart of our work is the belief that service and knowledge must go hand in hand. By encouraging innovation, nurturing professional learning, and preparing for emergencies, the Foundation seeks to contribute to a healthier society. We aspire not only to respond to immediate needs but also to build the foundations of long-term improvement so that generations to come can benefit from stronger health care and deeper understanding of medicine.

What We Do

Ashvins Foundation has been established with a broad mandate to serve the public good. Our programmes reflect the seven charitable objects outlined in the Trust Deed:

Health camps and telemedicine
We plan to organise free and low-cost health camps in different parts of India and expand access to medical consultations through both online and in-person telemedicine services. These activities will complement local health systems and make preventive care and timely advice more accessible.
Medical research
The Foundation intends to fund and conduct medical research that addresses current and emerging health challenges. By encouraging studies and promoting innovation, we hope to generate knowledge that benefits both practitioners and patients, while working in collaboration with established research bodies.
Publishing health journals and training material
Sharing reliable information is essential for public health and professional learning. Ashvins Foundation will publish journals, reports, and training materials to disseminate knowledge and provide practical resources to health workers, students, and the wider community.
Courses and workshops for medical professionals
Continuous learning is vital for effective health care. We plan to design and conduct workshops, seminars, and short courses that give doctors, nurses, and allied professionals opportunities to upgrade their skills and stay current with new developments in medicine.
Disaster-relief medical aid
India faces frequent natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, and earthquakes. Ashvins Foundation will prepare to mobilise resources quickly during such events, complementing government and local relief efforts by providing emergency medical services, medicines, and supplies where they are most needed.
Grants to other charitable bodies
Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. The Foundation will extend grants to other registered public charitable organisations that share similar objectives, enabling collective impact and avoiding duplication of effort.
Incidental activities
To ensure flexibility and responsiveness, we may also undertake other activities incidental to our main objects, provided they remain aligned with our charitable purpose. This gives the Foundation the ability to adapt to changing needs and new opportunities.

Through these initiatives, Ashvins Foundation will act as a supportive partner within India’s health and education landscape. Our aim is not to replace what already exists but to strengthen it, extend its reach, and provide timely support, especially in moments of extraordinary need.

How We Operate

Ashvins Foundation operates with a clear focus on service, transparency, and accountability. A Board of Trustees provides direction and oversight, ensuring that every initiative reflects the charitable purposes for which the Trust was created. Decisions are made with care, guided by fairness and the long-term well-being of the communities we serve.

Our work is shaped by a commitment to use resources responsibly and to apply them only toward public benefit. Each programme we design seeks to complement existing health and education systems, adding strength where it is most valuable. By combining health care, research, education, and preparedness for disaster relief, the Foundation builds a framework of action that is both purposeful and sustainable.

How We Are Funded

Ashvins Foundation relies on voluntary contributions and grants that support its charitable mission. Individuals, companies, government bodies, and other organisations provide financial help or contribute in the form of medicines, equipment, or other resources. Every contribution is directed toward the objectives of the Trust, whether it is organising health camps, supporting research, or providing relief during disasters.

The Foundation is structured to comply with the requirements of the Income-tax Act, and formal registrations for tax benefits are in progress. Donors are encouraged to partner with us in building a strong foundation for future programmes, confident that their support is applied with care and accountability.

NGO Darpan Registration

Ashvins Foundation is registered on the NGO Darpan portal maintained by NITI Aayog, Government of India. This platform strengthens the transparency of our operations and allows us to engage more effectively with government bodies and public programmes. Our Darpan ID is WB/2025/0635633. The registration affirms our commitment to accountability and ensures that information about the Foundation is available in the public domain.
